Ian Hancock, CEO
Ian Hancock moved to the United States from London, England in 2006 and founded HM Equity Management.
Ian has been engaged in real estate investment since 1995 and built a significant property portfolio in prime central London. Since settling in Houston, Texas he has been the lead partner in the acquisition of 26 multi-family apartment communities and the sale of 12, across Texas. Currently, HM Equity manages 14 multi-family apartment communities with a combined total of 2,600 units.
Ian holds a BSc (Hons) in Estate Management from the University of Reading (UK) and is also a professionally qualified Chartered Surveyor. As CEO of HM Equity he also launched a successful third-party management platform serving clients via the HM Equity operational team.
Marc Lewis, Acquisitions Director
Marc Lewis joined HM Equity in 2010 as Partner and Acquisitions Director.
Marc has been CEO of Felsham Investments Ltd since 1994, specialists in residential property development and investment, and has built a significant portfolio within prime central London. His strengths include detailed legal and financial structuring within the acquisition process, project and portfolio management and, strategic operational business growth. Marc is based in Austin and Houston, Texas and is responsible for property acquisitions and sales.
Marc holds a Masters of Philosophy degree in Economics & Land Law from the faculty of Urban & Regional studies at the University of Reading, the foremost real estate business school in the UK. He is also a professionally qualified Chartered Surveyor, obtained while working at CB Richard Ellis within its commercial brokerage sector.
